Revit - What can I do without you.

a. Model graphic view sets to HiddenLine.



b. Model Graphic View sets to Hiddenline w/ Shadow and Sun turned ON.



c. Model Graphic View sets to Shading w/Edges, Shadow and Sun turned on.



d. Model Graphic View sets to Shading w/ Sun and Shadow turned on.


Images above are similar Graphic View with different settings turned on to allow for appropriate view of the model enabling the capture of its lustre.

Revit is a god sent software. Once you use it - like "they" said, you never go back ( to autocad ) that is.

Above was a project - a small ADD ON to an existing club house in a resort hotel. The upper floor was a new add on with functions including a toilet / bath with lockers changing room, massage rooms, lounge area, reception cum bar and storage for accessories.

I hope to display some interior images next time.

Rendering with Max / Viz.

Note : These images were developed as a result of going through Max tutorial investigating new features - lighting effect simulating the sun.


If time permit I'll be posting some projects I did rendered with Viz / Max shortly.

High End Residential Project -Rendered with Vray

1. Rendering #1 : Rendered with GI set to HDR and BACKGROUND set to a bitmap. For reason known, the background was there ( invincible), not seen because alpha had been set to transparent hence looks blank.

2. Rendering #2 : GI set to SKY as a results the sun / shadow were apparent.

3. Rendering #3 : GI and BACKGROUND were set to HDR image.



Sample of renderings of project that I did for presentation using TRIAL version of Vray. In fact this was my first try with this software. It was a good and easy way to render for SU but could proved to be tedious at times when "major rendering elements" were included.
